About this event
Haeundae-gu Office in Busan is holding the 2nd Haeundae World Culture Festival (해운대 세계문화축제) on Gunam-ro (구남로). Foreign residents, locals and tourists meet and learn about each other's cultures. About 5,000 people came last year.
Food booths: Indonesian sate ayam, Chinese Korean-beef dumplings, Spanish pintxos and Moroccan chicken lemon tagine. Show stamps from other booths you visited, and you can taste them for free.
Culture booths: make a wayang kulit shadow puppet character from Indonesia, a Mongolian traditional costume key ring or a Korean mother-of-pearl (자개) key ring. You can also wear Vietnamese, Uzbek and Filipino traditional clothes and take photos.
City promotion booths (Japan, China, Vietnam, Greece, Uzbekistan and more) and stage shows run on both days. On 25 October, 13:00 to 18:00: gugak, juggling, foreign cultural shows, popera and a university dance club. On 26 October, 14:00 to 17:00: magic, juggling, nanta and busking.
